happy news! a while ago i responded to an open call for responses to a list of Q&A’s for seth apter’s upcoming book. and while my artwork didn’t make the cut, happily, my written responses DID, and so i am one of the blessed artists that will be published in this awesome book, coming to newsstands in march 2012!!! more details to follow :)
my dear friend crystal neubauer told me about this opportunity (and please pray for her because she is debuting her art at the American Craft Exposition in Chicago this week for the very first time! go crystal!), and so far, all of the wonderful press and exciting opportunities have happened simply because i chose to try. just to try. not succeed, not get accepted, not become !great! in the eyes of the world; just to try and with a mustard seed of faith, see what might happen.
