...and a sneek peak at my brand new line of inspirational mixed-media collage paintings!
after about a year of exploration and soul-searching work, and hours upon agonized hours of deliberation (i might tend to overthink things just a wee bit...:), i’m finally ready to take the next big step with my art. i’ll be launching the grand opening of my new etsy shop under my name and with a brief tagline: jan avellana | art + words.
other projects in the works are a brand new website that will link all of my online bits together, prints and original canvases for sale and a small line of thoughtfully designed gift items, just in time for the holiday gift giving season! (seems far away, but it will be here before you know it!)
if you make a living by your hands or through your words, you know how scary it is to live this creative life. so when you think of me, please say a prayer for me (my knees are knocking!) as i offer up my life and work as a humble act of worship to Jesus, the One who loves me and gave me this wonderful gift of artyness :)!
